Every Verified listing was checked by a person: references, reviews, license and insurance. How we check

For roofing contractors

Your business is probably already here

Every roofer on this site has a description written about that business, from its own website, services and reviews. Claiming yours is free. Verified and Featured are how you stand out on the page homeowners compare you on.

What's different

Not another scraped directory

01

Written, not copied

181 listings, each one written

Every listing has its own description built from the business's website, its Google services and what its reviewers mention. Nothing is pasted from a feed.

02

Checked by a person

Verified means someone called

Before a roofer gets the Verified mark, a person calls the references, reads the reviews and confirms the license and insurance. No software decides it. How we check

03

Rules in the open

Nothing hidden about the order

How every town page is ordered is printed on this page. Paying never changes a Google rating, a review count or what your listing says about your work.

What homeowners see on a town page

Every town page is built the same way, in this order.

Paying for Verified, Featured or Best of never changes a rating or a review count, and the license badge can't be bought.

  1. 1

    Featured

    One Featured roofer

Always labeled Featured. When a town is taken, it stays taken until that roofer leaves.

  2. 2

    Best of

    Best of picks

Pinned after Featured and labeled Best of your town.

  3. 3

    Verified

    Every Verified roofer

With the Verified mark. A person has called their references and confirmed license and insurance.

  4. 4

    Everyone else

By Google rating, weighted by reviews

    So a 4.8 with 200 reviews sits above a 5.0 with three.

For Verified roofers

A badge for your own website

Verified roofers get a badge that links to their listing. Put it in your footer, on your about page or beside your reviews, and anyone who clicks it lands on your Verified listing. We send the code, or put it on for you.

Claiming your listing

Three steps, the first two free

01

Find your listing

Search by your business name or look under your town. Most roofers who work here are already listed from public business records and their own websites.

02

Claim it, free

Send the form. A person calls you, usually the same day, to confirm it's your business. Then you can fix hours, services and the towns you cover.

03

Upgrade if you want

Verified, Featured and Best of are optional. Your free listing stays free either way.

Questions

Common questions

Is a listing on St. Croix Valley Roofers really free?

Yes. The listing, claiming it and corrections are all free. You only pay if you choose Verified, Featured or Best of.

My business is already listed. How did it get there?

Listings start from public business records and each roofer's own website. We list roofing contractors that work in the St. Croix Valley, so nobody has to sign up first.

My business is based outside the St. Croix Valley. Can I be listed?

Yes, if you work here. Your listing says where you're based and which towns you serve, so homeowners know you'll be driving in.

How do I fix a mistake on my listing?

Send it with the form on this page. Corrections are free whether or not you've claimed the listing, and they're made within a week. That includes a business that has closed.

Can I pay to rank higher?

Featured puts you first on one town page and Best of pins you near the top, both always labeled. Verified roofers sort above unverified ones, because a person has checked them. Everyone else is ranked by Google rating weighted by review count.

How many Featured spots are there?

One per town. Once a town has a Featured roofer, it is full until they leave. The town picker on this page shows which towns are taken.

What does Verified check?

Andy Culver calls two of your recent customers, reads your reviews in full, and confirms your Minnesota contractor license and your insurance. The check is repeated every year, and the fee is refunded if you don't pass. The full detail is on the How Verified works page.

Where does the license badge come from?

It is matched to the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry's public license list, with the date we checked. It can't be bought.
